Taxis on all-out strike nationwide

Taxis across the country are at a standstill today with the 24-hour all-out strike supported by some of the trade unions takes place. The NTDU are not officially supporting the protest but said that drivers were unlikely to work during the stoppage by other drivers.

Pickets have been mounted at many of the taxi ranks around the country. Roads in Dublin city were noticeably quieter this morning as a result of the strike which continues until 4am on Tuesday morning.
