Most of the public sector came to a standstill today as workers mounted pickets at their workplaces and government offices around the country, with the exemption of those involved in frontline assistance in areas devastated by flooding in the south and west.

Taxis on all-out strike nationwide
Taxis across the country are at a standstill today with the 24-hour all-out strike supported by some of the trade unions takes place. The NTDU are not officially supporting the protest but said that drivers were unlikely to work during the stoppage by other drivers.
